Celebrate Your Life

This journey has been filled with a roller coaster of emotions for me and for that I am extremely grateful. During this semester I had to make two trips to Kentucky because my Daddy is still in the hospital fighting for his life. My journey, has not been easy by any means, but I know in the end it will all be worth it.
A few things I have learned this semester are all God's children are born with an entrepreneurial spirit, we are all on this earth to learn, experience, serve and love one another, and show gratitude toward all we are blessed with. I also learned that balance is the key to success. We must have balance in our lives because if we don't we will lose more than we are trying to gain. For instance, if we are devoting 95% of our time to work, 4% to church, and 1% to family, we are setting ourselves up for failure.
My advice is this, PRIORITIZE! We came to this earth with nothing and we will leave it with nothing, unless we choose to fulfill the purpose God put us here for, which is to learn, grow, leave our marks, make the difference. If we will trust in him, put him first, family next, and align our lives with his we are promised the blessing of Isaac, Abraham, and Jacob and sooooo much more!
We have been asked to go and DO. Action is the key to all success. What good is our faith if we do not exercise it?
A few other things this class has taught me is to reach deep inside my soul and figure out who I am and who I want to become. As I look back on my life thus far, I haven't done too bad. I didn't realize how much I had already done. So many days spent dwelling on what I could have, should have, would have, if I could only............NO MORE!
We were asked to read three books this semester: "Learning Leaders", "Mastery", and "Hero's Journey". I am not an avid reader, but I will tell you all three of these books have set me back on the right track to pursuing my dreams. I am so ready to take action, and already have in many areas of my life. I still have a long journey ahead of me, but I have no more time to waste. Before this Introduction to Entrepreneurship class, I had pretty much given up. For some reason, I asked myself how I could possibly start over at 50? What I have learned is to look at this negative attitude I had and readjust my thinking. I am not starting over at 50, I am continuing on this exciting journey called life. Now, I is the time to "fine tune" my life and carry on with a better understanding of purpose. This class taught me I am in control, I matter to him that sent me here and that is enough. Refocusing my attention to what matters most and gaining the tools to achieve my goals has brought me the greatest joy of all.
In closing, I would like to share my gratitude to BYU and the fact that the Lord not only restored his truthness to the earth, but he has provided a college that separates itself from societal and political rhetoric and is centered on the very principles of the gospel. He has provided one more place for us to go and learn all we can so we can use out time, talents, experience, and gifts of the spirit to build up his kingdom!
